God gave you artistic skills. We desire to inspire you to use your gifts to grow closer to God creatively and to share His love with others through your talent.
Our program begins with encouraging our students to have a special creative time with God. Students may choose to their own Art plan working with Biblical Study Art Journaling at home using the S.A.V.E. method. Through their art journaling and results from what is learned, Students bring ideas to class and create structured pieces during class time. The plan they choose can be as simple and complex as they would like. We teach creative prayer by completing prayer drawings or prayer paintings. We also teach seed art, which is creating many small art pieces about 5x7 that can be easily handed out to someone they cherish and open doors to reach someone that needs Christ. During weekly class time each student will first work through fundamental drawing skills, then they will choose a theme to work on. Students will choose an audience that they would like to minister to through their art, whether it be family, a friend, aquaintance, or a complete stranger. What better way to start conversations! Sometimes the audience is purely themselves. Jesus wants to minister to us as well. Once they have chosen their audience they then work out the ideas and details of their art, medium, composition and perspective. Students continually develop their artistic skills as they work through this program. We have many themes we are developing in our program.

For Adults and Teens
Each student will begin with the Fundamental Drawing Skills.
We will then begin the program discussing how to create a creative space in your home. A quiet place for creativity. We will discuss creative prayer time and then begin working on their theme . We will discuss different audiences and messages the student desires to convey through their piece. We will move to brainstorming visual ideas, work up thumbnail sketches, determine perspectives, decide on the medium that will be used, then begin working the finished piece. During the process of each piece students will continually develop their artistic skills.
For Children Ages 6 to 9
We will begin with a colorwheel painting that reflects one of the names God has given them. They will then choose from our books a picture that they love and will begin learning to draw and finish their art with paint and or colored pencil. We will encourage them to share their finished piece with a family member or friend and to share their heart of why they chose that name and what it means to them.
Weekly Art Journaling, Creative Prayer, and Scripture Studies are encouraged in this class.
Drawn to His Presence is an ongoing program. We work through different themes continuously.
Pricing
Students register for 4 lessons at a time fro 145.00 which is 36.25 per 2 1/2 hour class. Art supplies will need to be purchased for Adults and Teens.

Our General Program Option
Carson's Art School also has a general art program. This is our regular art program that begins with the Fundamental Drawing Lessons, after that, the program becomes your own and you can begin working on any piece that you like with your own subject matter.
